Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Training & Certification Programs

The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires every individual performing evidential breath testing must be trained and certified utilizing the DOT Model BAT Course. Most occupational clinics cannot afford the luxury of sending new collectors to remote locations for collector training. ASTS offers collector training via our interactive internet learning system.

After purchasing a password, each collector will be permitted to access the training modules from any internet source, and proceed with the instruction at his/her own pace. At the conclusion of the training, the student will then complete the final exam, where they will be graded and the successful students will be able to print a certificate suitable for framing.

The second training requirement includes a proficiency component, where the student must complete seven (7) consecutive error-free collections. An ASTS staff member will schedule a time for these proficiency exams for each student, at your facility.

The ASTS program meets the requirement established by the DOT, and assures that the time required and expenses incurred are maximized.
